About OnPoint Surgical:

Onpoint Surgical, Inc., was founded with a vision to transform the spinal fusion market, the largest market in Neurosurgery and the second largest segment in Orthopedics, by improving outcomes after pedicle screw placement and spinal fusion with use of novel optical guidance technology and augmented reality display. The Company will provide surgeons with a simple, accurate and reproducible, time and cost-efficient technique for guiding spinal fusion, by registering and directly superimposing virtual surgical instruments and virtual pedicle screws onto the patient’s spinal anatomy, thereby transforming a technically difficult surgical procedure into an operation that is highly reproducible while obviating the need for expensive capital equipment. The AR guidance systems developed by OnPoint Surgical, Inc., are also applicable to robotic system; the patent protected technology heralds the next revolution in robotic surgery using optics, not haptics.
